North Myrtle Beach SC has some sensible rules when it comes to what you can and can not do on the beach. Within the past year they passed an ordinance about the huge tent structures that have become popular but limited the view of both life guards and beach goers. Now they have passed a law about digging holes, trenches or depressions deeper than 12 inches that simply says fill them up before you leave. It has become a fad to dig in the sand as deep as you can and people don't seem to realize that water could cover that hole and present a hazard to anyone or anything on the shoreline.
